It can be tough when your body begins craving things; but, more than trying to "not drink," replace that with something else (Bible study, exercise, etc.). I'm sure the Corps has some sort of program where you can self-identify and get treatment if you need it - if it gets to that point, don't be afraid to use those resources. My pastor has a saying that makes a lot of sense. He says "Victory isn't you overcoming sin, it's Jesus overcoming you." The best advice I can give you is two-fold. First, accept that this is not a one-time battle; until God takes us home, we'll have that double-nature that Paul describes in <a href="http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=romans%207;&version=77;" rel="nofollow">Romans 7</a> - the whole chapter is great, but he really begins digging into this around verse 15. The second is that a "I'm not going to think about that" strategy is doomed for failure. Whether this is writing about Scripture, or the verses themselves, put something in to force out what shouldn't be there.
