All good. And to echo...the cornerstone of American Democracy is your Local School Board! That is where the election process begins. School Board members become councilmen/women, who become Mayors, who become...

"Breaking in" isn't the problem...the people of integrity mentioned, must first be willing to wade into the seemingly shallow yet tumultuous waters of politics where they are.

The problem is that that most people just don't care to get involved; after all, it is very time consuming and commitment gets in the way of our entertainment time. When good people are once again willing to fight for their country and what they believe in, as indicated by their willingness to sacrifice their time, talent and treasure to do so, then we will begin to see real change.

However, as Daniel articulated clearly, "the heart of the problem is always a problem of the heart"! And that is the business of our Creator God. Lord, begin with my own heart! Wherever you go...there you are!

What you state, you state well.
Finding a person of moral integrigy is not difficult. Not really..
The election process is difficult to break into unless one is wealthy.
Grassroots is where to start and I am thankful that in my county we elected a new mayor who is younger and a person of integrity. He had limited monies, however. He went from house to house personally talking to voters. There are many people with the qualifications you list. They work in factories, retail jobs, etc. and attend churches where they teach junior age boys and perhaps are Boy Scout leaders. It is the home that is the heart beat of the nations and without winning folks to Christ from their corruption and seeing them change into new creatures in Christ, our nation will fall into decadence and further shame. So, it is our responsibility to do what we can where we are everyday. We are responsible to vote for representatives in our local, state, and federal offices who best match our own integrity. We can do only our best and leave the rest to God.

i would say that the complaint with which I am most in agreement with is not income inequality. That will always be with us and is fine. some work harder, smarter, more effectively, get lucky, etc. that is truly, truly fine and good. to me the problem is the change over the last thirty years in the % of total income that the top 1% and to some degree top 10% are capturing. they didn't get even more smarter, work harder, etc than the rest of us over the last 30 years, but they are capturing ~5-10% percentage points more of total income. that is my problem. most income growth over last thirty years has gone there.
